the VA.

Finally got around to to getting myself into the VA Health system. I could have for a while being at 70% rated. The ease of moving all my meds and some care there was surprisingly easy. I brought up Briefs with my PCP there and she immediately put in a prescription for me. It appears they are sending out Attends derma dry. I destroy but with no leaks an in control night brief now. I think the attends would be ok for day . Has anybody been able to get the VA to provide better products?

I am glad that you are in the VA system. So am I. :-)

I get the Tranquility Smartcore disposable diapers.
Maximum protection.
Day/Night

They work a lot better than the "Wings" disposables that they used to send me.
But that isn't saying much. ROFL

And I am still not sure just how I managed it, but it did require a lot of red tape and a few hoops I had to jump through. But I got the VA to buy me cloth diapers and plastic pants. I got them to classify my prescription to where I can order them every year.
I am still amazed that I got it approved.
I get them from AngelFluff Diaper Company. https://www.angelfluff.com/

I have found that the location you are at and the size of the VA can make a difference on what you can get.

Talk to the pharmacy and the patient representee on what help they can provide.

At times the pharmacy will be able to give you a list of what is available and then your primary doctor will know what product to place the prescription for.

I hope you can get the stuff that you need.

talked to the pharmacist today , she told me what I needed my provider to do.
sent a message to my provider , and she submitted the non formulary request
to the pharmacist with the exact item I need.
Now I wait.

well. getting the Megamax USA is more problematic than I though. but I was
able to get the off formulary Abena L4 which is miles better than the Paper thin attends
I got in my first shipment.
my provider did say that if the Abena is unsatisfatory after giving them a chance then
we can move forward with more requests for the Northshore. i'll get patient advocacy involved
if need be. I still have almost a thousand incontrol\northshore briefs on hand so this is
not that huge of an issue yet. but am using the Abena during the day at home now.
