Retirement has been great especially because I am still well and healthy enough to do what I enjoy doing. After seeing colleagues retire too late and not being able to enjoy retirement, I vowed not to do that.
Unfortunately, living on a retirement budget means sacrifices especially with the cost of medical expenses.
Admittedly, my budget for my incontinence supplies requires me to be cost conscious and creative. I am able to find my diapers at the local Goodwill for a very cheap price and adding a booster has turned an inferior product into a satisfactory solution.
Who says you lose creativity and mental function as you age.

Yep! I'd say this would work for anyone trying to keep budget friendly.

I've tried to cut costs where I can too. Cheap diapers, cloth when I can. I've even experimented with putting booster in cloth diapers to thin them out and increase their efficiency.

I have better things to spend money on so I try my best. Thanks for your post.

Even an ordinary washcloth, when folded, can provide a functional and reusable booster pad.

I like to used WalMart Mainstays "Flour Sack Towels" (10 for $9) folded into a 12 layer pad and inserted into my nighttime disposable diaper. The "towels" are actually just 28" x 28" very thin 100% cotton cloths. The really great thing about these (besides the price) is that you can easily rinse them out in the sink and hang to dry. Then when dry just drop them in with the regular wash. These also work great for travel as they are so inexpensive you can just dispose of them if you can't rinse and dry them.
