I had an ultrasound yesterday to check my bladder had to drink a lot of water first and not pee for an hour before the test (that was a challenge) after the first test the technician said I could go pee when I got back into the exam room after using the bathroom she ran a second ultrasound. the thing that bothered me the most is after the second test she asked if I had ever had a ultrasound before to chdck my bladder I said yes when I saw my urologist a few years ago she then asked were they happy with the numbers I said I think so and she seamed conserned they were happy at the time.

When I asked what she ment she went quiet and said I was all done and could go should I be worried ? I have a follow appointment with my doctor next week and he has sent a referal to a new urologist (before the test was done) I know she cant tell me anything but I wish she had not asked the question:)

I have had many ultrasounds through the years. Each time I ask the nurse/technician what the numbers were, and I have always been told. If you ask, they will tell...at least they should. You should find out what the parameters of what is acceptable and what is not. Depending on your age, condition, etc. they can vary. Because of the history of retention that I have had, I keep a pretty good handle on what is acceptable, and what I should ask questions about. Be proactive ask the questions!

I did ask but she would not say I think they are not alowed to say as in Canada that would be classed as a diagnosis and she can get in real trouble for saying anything . I should be back to see the doctor in a week or so and will ask what the numbers mean
