Knowing the difference between gas and a full bowel...

So, yesterday I went for a walk after drinking a cup of high caffine coffee. I figured might as well walk as far as I can go without feeling tired. Downstairs I felt a sensation that might have been early warning that I need to poop, but it passed. Turns out it was just gas. Today, same scenario. I drank coffee, and wanted to go for a walk. I knew I wouldnt make it to town and back because I have to work at 2:30. No problem. Only I'm past the graveyard and my bowels are insisting that I turn around. Not wanting to push my luck I turn around. And here I thought it could just be gas. Long story short, I didn't make it. Grateful to have been wearing a Better Dry.
Is there a better product on the market that is more palatable than metamucil? Its awfully thick and doesnt taste that great. Think I''ll opt for taking Emma, a rectal syringe, and metamucil.
Peace out!
Rob

I use ducosate sodium and Benefiber. However, both can cause loose stools, so I am alternating them. Experimenting with diet and medications can be a challenge, and I do not always succeed. Heavy diapers, whether cloth or disposable, are necessary; without them I could not function in public.

Sounds like you need to stop drinking coffee, man. Especially since you have expressed having bowel issues in the past and coffee is a well known bowel irritant. Seems to be the common denominator here.

Perhaps your'e right to a point.. at the very least, make sure bowel is empty before walking after coffee. I am a coffee fiend for sure, and it definetly causes me to pee more and poop. Its not a huge deal, its just I'd like to avoid a bowel cleanup at work if at all possible. At home, its not a big deal.
I'm just trying to crack the mystery of why sometimes I have a large amount of stool in the rectum and don't realize it. I do recall pooping myself after dropping off my fiancee at home and not drinking coffee then. You're absolutely ringht that coffee is a trigger that i consume at my own risk, but its a vice I really can't do without.
